Christiane Schulzki-Haddouti works as free-lance journalist since 1996 and as researcher for socio-technical issues since 2007. She writes on a regular basis for VDI-NachrichtenDie WeltStuttgarter Zeitung, c’t, Heise onlineZEIT online, and Futurezone.She blogs at KoopTech and ZDF Hyperland.

She published and edited several books on privacy and security, civil rights in the digital age, and issues of professional journalism. She did some research and analysis for the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) on technologies of cooperation and social innovation.

She was a member of the Initiative Nachrichtenaufklärung jury from 2000 to 2015, a German clone of Project Censored. She was responsible for INA research seminars at the Technische Universität Dortmund and at the University of Bonn from 2002 to 2007. She is Co-Founder of the Whistleblower Netzwerk e.V. in Cologne.
